My journey with barbering began when I was 13.
It was at this age that I began cutting my own hair as well as friends and family. By 17, I became a father, gaining invaluable life experience that shaped my path.
In my early 20’s I pursued acting training in the Meisner Technique of Acting in San Francisco & Playhouse West in Los Angeles. I became a certified Fire Fighter in the State Of California in 2014, which further developed my discipline and understanding the importance of teamwork and leadership. I went on to obtain a California Barber License in 2017 were I continued my educational journey training under Mark- Jason Solofa in Berkeley CA.
Celso's opened in honor of my late grandfather who passed from Covid January 1st 2021. The shop honors his teachings of having respect for self and others not just by how we treat each other but how we present and carry ourself.

Community is very important to me. The sense of belonging and having a collective of people that you can consider your support system, is something everyone benefits from and desperately needs.
My goal is to use my skillset, life experience and barbershop to create such a community space.
